The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr.
Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor has prophesied that the abducted school
girls from Chibok, Borno State would soon be released by their
abductors, the Boko Haram sect.
Bishop Ezeokafor assured President Goodluck Jonathan that the Catholic
Church was in fervent prayers and supplications to God on-behalf of the
girls.
The Bishop also urged the President not to despair in these trying times as he would be vindicated in the end and rule the
country irrespective of the antagonism of the Boko Haram insurgents.
The Catholic Prelate made this known to journalists at St. Patrick’s
Cathedral, Awka on the occasion of the 2014 Life Membership Elevation
Ceremony and Fund raising for Re-Roofing of Cana House Event Complex.
The Bishop said fasting and prayers were on-going to ensure that the Chibok school girls re-gained freedom from their abductors.
According to him, they were trying to frustrate Nigerians but God would
not allow it, stressing that the actions of Boko Haram was political
and that they were intent to frustrate the government of President
Goodluck Jonathan.
He, however, stated that the Church was praying fervently for him not to despair but strive on with tenacity of faith.
